Today we take a moment to remember and honor those we lost during and in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks.
This morning, to mark the occasion, Lancaster County honored the 22nd anniversary of the 9/11 attacks and the lives of Lancaster police officers, firefighters, and emergency workers who lost their lives in the line of duty.
In a ceremony held at the Lancaster Public Safety Training Center, Lancaster CTC Protective Services Students rang a bell and placed a flower at the main podium in honor of our local fallen service members. LCCTC Protective Services alum Megan Farling, opened the ceremony with a stirring rendition of the National Anthem.
Thank you to the Lancaster County Offices of the County Commissioners for planning the memorial event and allowing our Protective Services students to play a role in honoring those we have lost.
