For the second year, Forbes Magazine published a list of top 30 technical and career colleges, and for the second time, Lancaster County Career & Technology Center, Lancaster County CTC, was named to the list. This year the school was ranked fifth in the nation; last year’s ranking was 21st.
To make their determinations, Forbes used data from the federal government’s Integrated Post-Secondary Education Data System, IPEDS, College Scorecard databases, and salary database PayScale, then they divided the methodology into four parts: post-graduate success, affordability, completion success, and student experience.
“We at LCCTC are honored. We owe this success to our team members, each and every one of them, our supportive County, our Joint Operating Committee and the sending school districts, and most importantly, all of our students who help build our success,” said Dr. Stuart Savin, Administrative Director, Lancaster County CTC.
Lancaster County CTC offers more than 50 programs for both adult and high school students, including practical nursing, veterinary technology, truck driving, welding, mechatronics/ industrial mechanical and maintenance, and more. In the fall of 2019, Lancaster County will launch a dental hygiene specialized associate degree program on the Willow Street Campus. Applications will be available in October 2018.
