The Lancaster County Career & Technology Center is currently accepting applications from adult education students to receive grant funding as part of the economic stimulus passed by the federal government in December, 2020. Qualifying adult education students can receive money to help to defray the costs of education incurred during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds (HEERF) Grant was made available by the United States Department of Education via the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA). This grant is intended to offset costs for tuition, food, housing, health care (including mental health care) or child care that may have become too costly due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Please completely fill in all aspects of the application. The link to the online application is below. Priority for awarding funds will go to students who demonstrate the highest need, so please thoroughly explain how and why this grant would help you in the online application.
Applications open on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 and close on Wednesday, September 15, 2021.
The terms of the grant restrict funding to ADULT STUDENTS ONLY in Title IV-eligible programs including Advanced Welding, Automotive Technology, Dental Assistant, Dental Hygiene, Early Childhood Education, Medical Administrative Assistant, Medical Assistant, Plumbing, Practical Nursing, Precision Machining, Veterinary Technician, and Welding Technology.
